Using hand tools like knives or shears to carefully cut mushrooms from the growing medium. Preparing mushroom beds & sorting harvested mushrooms by size, quality, and variety. Properly packaging sorted mushrooms in containers or crates according to specific guidelines and industry standards. Assisting in maintaining and cleaning mushroom growing rooms, ensuring optimal growing conditions for future crops. Regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and work areas. Keeping an eye out for signs of pests or diseases that can affect mushroom crops and reporting any issues to supervisors. Conducting quality checks on harvested mushrooms to ensure they meet market standards and customer expectations. Requirements No formal education is required.
