Description : Parsons is seeking a Senior FLS/Fire Fighting Specialist (Stadium/Sports Arena Projects) to provide expert technical guidance and oversight throughout the construction of our client's new state-of-the-art stadium. This successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all fire safety and firefighting systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to the highest standards of safety and compliance. What You'll Be Doing: Serve as the primary technical expert for fire life safety and firefighting systems on the stadium construction project. Lead and manage all aspects of fire safety engineering, including design review, installation, testing, and commissioning. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless integration of fire safety systems. Provide advanced technical expertise in fire protection engineering, including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, smoke control systems, and emergency evacuation protocols. Conduct detailed fire risk assessments and develop comprehensive fire safety strategies tailored to the stadium's unique design and operational requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international fire safety codes and standards. Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. Oversee the quality assurance processes for fire safety installations, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure high standards of workmanship and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to fire safety systems during construction and commissioning phases. Develop and deliver training programs for staff and contractors on fire safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 20 years of experience in fire life safety and firefighting systems, preferably with significant experience in large-scale construction projects. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Proven track record of successful project leadership and management in a similar role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
