Are you passionate about developing complex FPGA architectures designs with advanced algorithms, design implementation (creating your own systems and circuits), design simulations, data manipulation, and hardware test and validation? Would you like to work for a young, fast-growing startup in the field of quantum-inspired computing?

We are recruiting a Senior FPGA Design Engineer (F/M) for our client, for a full-time contract (40h/week) in hybrid mode (working at the office on Mondays and Thursdays) in Montreal. At this firm, you'll work with the Hardware (HW) team to solve highly complex problems in a wide range of sectors, including logistics, cybersecurity, finance, gaming, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Your main missions:

Perform conceptual (even from scratch) and detailed design, simulation and testing of FPGA-based quantum-inspired hardware.Maintain parity with and improve upon other in-house competing solutions.Suggest, share and participate in architecture decisions.Design experiments and perform tests in close collaboration with academic researchers.Design test procedures to identify problems and solutions.Follow systems engineering procedures (requirements capture, traceability, design documentation, tests planning and reporting, etc.).Any related tasks as need arises.

Your profile:

Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.FPGA design expertiseProficiency with using Vivado; knowledge of recent Xilinx FPGA architectures.Strong skills authoring VHDL and Verilog and interfacing with IP in either.Proficiency using RTL simulation tools.Experience of successful product delivery.Familiarity with industry-standard software development practices (e.g. Kanban, Agile).Experience in a technology startup.Good knowledge of written and spoken English.Curious, responsible, able to work independently and enjoy teamwork.

Assets :

Experience in modern C++ and PythonExperience with FPGA-based accelerator platforms (Xilinx Alveo, AWS F1)Experience with HLS and/or System GeneratorKnowledge of French is a plus.
