Job DescriptionMeet daily with Executive Sous Chef to communicate daily operational challenges & successesPromote a fun, professional and disciplined work environmentSupport/coach/lead & motivate kitchen colleagues & managersActively share ideas, opinions & suggestions in weekly Sous Chef meetingEnsure all kitchen colleagues & managers are aware of standards & expectationsImplement HACCP standards in the hotel with the assistance of the Executive Sous Chef, Hygiene Officer and its members.Ensure proper hygiene as per , promote Health and Safety at all timesEnsure all grooming, spot check and temperature control sheets are filled as requiredConduct daily walk through to ensure proper cleanliness and follow - upEnsure consistent on-the-job training sessions for culinary colleagues & managers are maintainedLiaison daily with Outlet Managers to keep open lines of communication & guest feedbackStrive to improve all food preparations, presentations & menu selectionsStrive to achieve and surpass JD Power targets with kitchen colleaguesMaintains comprehensive product knowledge on ingredients, equipment, market and current trends Deals effectively with guest requests and takes appropriate actions to resolve guests complaints Reports any non-available item to the Executive Chef or his delegate as well as the Section Head concerned, and proposes an alternative if the item cannot be prepared within an acceptable time frame.Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.Ensures that kitchen's equipment is used correctly, kept clean, and reports any defects promptly.Reports any injury and accidents to his supervisor or kitchen management RequirementsHigh school diploma or aboveMinimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of Food hygiene and safety regulationsAbility to communicate with customers and other staff membersStrong leadership skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalGood interpersonal skillsAbility to multitaskHow do I deliver thisWe genuinely care about people and we show this through living out our promise of True Hospitality each and every day.
