Company Overview: We have an exciting Podiatrist opportunity based in Christchurch, NZ! Our client is looking for an enthusiastic podiatrist to work in either of their busy clinics. They have two branches in Christchurch and you are welcome to pick and choose which clinic is your preference. The organisation is leading the way for Podiatry care in Christchurch. They have an amazing admin team to help and support you as required with mentoring from their lead Podiatrist available when you need it. Position Overview: The role involves a varied patient load requiring the successful candidate to be confident across all aspects of podiatry. Although varied, the majority of the clientele they see are sports based – competence with injury diagnosis, management and orthotic prescription is essential. We expect you to be hard-working, have excellent communication skills, and be motivated to deliver optimal patient care. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive foot assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing.
  • Diagnose and treat various foot and lower limb conditions as well as sports-related injuries.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as nail avulsions and wart removals, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prescribe custom orthotics, footwear modifications, and assistive devices to address biomechanical abnormalities and improve gait mechanics.
  • Educate patients on proper foot care practices, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall foot health and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications + What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Podiatry.
  • Current registration as a Podiatrist in New Zealand or Australia.
  • Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in podiatric practice, preferably working in Biomechanical Podiatry.
  • Proficiency in conducting foot assessments, diagnosing foot conditions, and implementing evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and with empathy with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding ethical standards.
