Senior Merchandiser (Soft Home)

THE ROLE

• Work closely with the Australian buying & design teams to understand their product requirements and follow the company’s procedures on the product developments process
• Follow-up orders from samples development to bulk production in applying supply management
• Track & Collect the data of the raw materials
• Source right the suppliers who meet our business requirements and can manufacture products to deliver better quality and value to our customers
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure that critical path timeframes are met
• Communicate with buyers, design and quality team, and suppliers on technical issues and problem resolution
• Negotiate pricing and production timeframes with suppliers
• Monitor production orders, and maintain a close understanding of the shipment schedule to ensure the flow of production and shipment on time.
• Engage with and influence all key stakeholders
• Keep up to date on trends and innovations in the market

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Home textile or relevant category is a must. Having hard goods experience is an advantage.
• Know how to do the Costing, Price Comparison, and can calculate the Fabric Consumption
• Problem Solver, have to understand the risk .
• Must be good in excel & PPT.
• Ability to operate in a fast paced culture of change.
• Excellent product knowledge and understanding of relevant manufacturing processes.
• Attentive to details and able to work under pressure and capable to work independently
• Be able to demonstrate customer focus.
• Familiar with quality standards
• Good command of both spoken and written English & Hindi in order to communicate well with our key stakeholders such as suppliers, buyers, designers, and garment Technician
• Ability to work remotely with the suppliers in other Asian countries.
• Operate across product areas and multiple projects within categories whilst meeting specified timelines.
• Demonstrated supply and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently with overseas buyers, suppliers and factories
