Our client is is looking for a Audio & Visual Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of audio visual projects for their clients! Our client specialises in brand strategy, design, and innovation. They work with clients to create and enhance their brand identity, utilising a blend of creativity, technology, and strategic thinking. Their services encompass various aspects of brand development, including visual identity, messaging, and user experience design. Based in Salt River, Cape Town, they are offering a hybrid work environment (in-office every Monday).
Main Responsibilities: Audio Visual Project Manager:
The responsibilities of an Audio Visual (AV) project manager include supervising all personnel and activities related to audiovisual installation, construction, financing, scheduling, coordinating required resources, and collecting materials for an event.

Supplier Management
Client and Supplier Liaison
Project Management (AV)
Finance Management (AV)
Internal Process Management (AV)
Supplier Management:
Establish & Maintain key supplier relationships:
Source and vet key suppliers for all required AV, Rigging, Staging & Build requirements.
Manage supplier costing to ensure best negotiated rates
Manage supplier timelines to ensure sourced items or staff arrive on time
Manage supplier payments & financial onboarding
Client and Supplier Liaison:
Receive briefs from client and accurate relay brief information to internal stakeholders
Keep clients up to date with any and all movement on their projects
Manage client expectations - Budgets, Timelines, Deliverables etc.
Maintain client and supplier relationships with regular communication
Ensure that any developments or deliverables are handed to client timeously and professionally
Attend regular client update meetings on projects
Project Management (AV):
Manage all Audio Visual and Build components of events from start to finish, including but not limited to:
Lighting
Staging
Rigging
Event Audio
Large scale LED Screens
Production Desks with content management for screens
Projection
Manage all staffing requirements for all Audio Visual components of events from start to finish
Finance Management (AV):
Ensure all supplier invoices are loaded for payment on internal systems timeously
Ensure all costs are billed to client including markups where needed
Ensure a minimum profitability on projects
Ensure that all payment and invoicing processes are followed correctly and timeously
Internal Process Management (AV):
Ensure all established internal processes are followed correctly
Identify and Establish new processes within the AV department
Identify key markets and investments for the AV department
Company Events:
Use mediums available to attract new sales (where possible) to hand over to the GM, Sales Manager and/or team
Provide meaningful feedback to the GM, Sales manager and/or team after every event
Know & understand suppliers & the offerings as well as being able to negotiate rates
Positively assist project coordinators to best reach event success in every client touchpoint
Constantly upskill yourself with the intention of becoming the best in your field
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as event management, audio engineering, or business administration.
Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or audiovisual technology (e.g., AVIXA certifications) are advantageous.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of audiovisual equipment, lighting, staging, rigging, and production desks.
Proficiency in using project management tools like Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar software.
Understanding of finance management principles, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Ability to source, vet, negotiate with, and manage relationships with AV suppliers.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Leadership qualities to coordinate teams, delegate tasks, and drive project success.
Problem-solving ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and resources simultaneously.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project planning, documentation, and execution.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and client preferences.
Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Client focus and commitment to delivering solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
Proven track record in audio visual project management and relevant industry experience.
