ICON people have a mission to succeed and a passion that ensures what we do, we do well. The Role: Our GBS Business Partnering Group sits within the Corporate Finance arm of ICON Finance. This role is aimed at providing independent, objective, financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to specific support department lines within the business, enabling ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating company performance and strategic direction. Purpose of the role:- To be a trusted financial advisor to Support Department leaders.
- To lead a team of financial analysts who support department leaders and their direct reports.
- Partner with Support department heads
- Lead a team of financial analysts
- Reporting on monthly and quarterly financials including forecasts and annual budgets
- Analyse and translate data into key strategic inputs and insights to drive decision making
- Provide detailed headcount reports for each Support department
- Analyse Capex spend relative to forecast and budget
- Gather and track business and functional requirements, provide impact assessments and identification of gaps
- Help develop annual and long-term financial plans for support departments
- Work on high level ad hoc projects
- Fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA
- A minimum of 8+ years post qualification experience in an industry financial role, preferably a Business Partnering or an FP&A role.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets and transforming data into information
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential together with a proven ability to develop strong relationships with Executive and Senior Business Leaders.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles combined with a business focus.
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- Good systems experience; Oracle and Hyperion a significant advantage.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
- Candidate should be ambitious, able to multi-task & work well under pressure
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
