• Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.
• Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to financial constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Communicate project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations effectively.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and support staff, to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that project deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with project specifications.
• Procurement and Contract Management: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, permits, and codes throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges. Provide accurate and timely information to facilitate decision-making and problem-solving.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle. Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Change Management: Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, schedule, or budget and assess their impact on project objectives. Implement change management processes to control scope creep and minimize disruptions.
• Closeout and Handover: Ensure smooth project closeout and handover process, including final inspections, documentation, and client acceptance. Facilitate knowledge transfer and lessons learned sessions to capture project insights for future initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 15 years of proven experience in Bridges & Infrastructure Projects
• CRPEP Grade A license.
• Previous experience with Ministry of Works
• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
• PMP certification or similar project management certification is desirable
