The purposes of this role are to facilitate the clinical and educational needs of nurses undertaking UCD Graduate Diploma in Cardio-vascular Care Nursing plus Mater Foundation Programmes (CPD) in Cardio-vascular Care Nursing. The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital supports both of these programs. He/she is required to develop training programmes and arrange specialist lectures/workshops/tutorials for graduate & post graduate nurses. Create opportunities for role modelling and demonstrate clinical expertise in the area of critical incident analysis and management. Promote proficiency in Cardiology Management and support among key staff. Contribute to enhancing the practice of Cardiology Care Nursing at local hospital, national and international level. Audit, evaluate and seek improvements within the Cardiology clinical areas. The post holder will maintain an educational and clinical practice remit.
