Job Description:

The primary focus of the role is the audit of tax of our clients as well as helping clients with tax compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Liaising with SARS and handling queries raised by SARS;

Performing tax related audits and due diligence assignments;

Interpreting tax legislation;

Drafting of high quality tax opinions that add value to clients' businesses;

Assessing commercial facts and applying the appropriate tax law;

Performing tax related research;

Performing general project administration.

Performing tax reviews as part of statutory audits;

Managing a range of tax assignments reporting to Managers and Senior Managers;

Liaising with colleagues and clients to provide corporate and/or international tax consulting services;

Billing client work; and

Complying with risk management procedures;

Tax technical presentation;

Job Requirements:

Articles with one of the big 4 audit firms.

Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a high performance team environment;

Good client relationship management skills;

Passionate about growing a career within the Tax department

Commercial awareness and business acumen;

Ability to multitask, yet still pay attention to detail;

3 - 5 years Tax experience in the consulting area would be ideal;

Obtaining tax experience in articles is also advantageous.

Analytical skills;

Ability to prioritise; work under pressure/work to deadlines;

Strong research skills;

Self-starter with the ability to provide solutions to business problems;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
