Maintenance Supervisor - Clayton Liffey Valley. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor in the Clayton Liffey Valley. This is a great opportunity to join a sales team within Ireland's largest hotel group. Objective of the Role To ensure that the property / premises are maintained to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices at all times within the hotel. Main Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards compliance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues, ensuring resolution in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised maintenance services or major repairs, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inventory, and safety inspections.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage to enhance skill levels and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety consciousness among maintenance staff, enforcing compliance with Health and Safety regulations and hotel safety policies.
- Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and building infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies and best practice guidelines.
- Abide by all the hotels HACCP procedures and complete all HACCP documentation as required.
- To abide by the Dalata policies at all times.
- Previous hospitality experience is desirable
- Safe pass certification is desirable
- Qualifications in one or more trades including painting, gardening, heating, plumbing, and construction is desirable
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise work
- Be standards driven and detail-orientated
