Job SummaryThe role holder is responsible for managing career programs and career planning activities at STC for ensuring a healthy pipeline of high achieving candidates to fulfil the future requirements of STC. The role holder is also responsible for institutionalizing processes for defining clear career paths aligned to STC s business objectives. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesManagerial Responsibilities• Participates in the development and implementation of the Career Management General Directorate plans, in line with the corporate objectives.• Directs and manages the Career & Talent Management Department mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.• Manages and controls change in the Career & Talent Management Department providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Career & Talent Management Department.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategy Planning & Implementation• Participates in strategy formulation by providing support and inputs to the General Manager Career Management.• Leads implementation of the Sector strategy and develops policies and procedures for the Career & Talent Management Department to drive achievement of the desired objectives.Career Planning• Ensures periodic review of STC s employee competency dictionary and introduces required amendments that are in line with the business requirements.• Plans individual career path for high achieving candidates according to the future needs and requirements of the company.• Oversees the process of coordinating with the Performance & Rewards Department to provide inputs on performance management programs related to employee competencies and development plans.• Manages design and update of employee competencies database.• Manages the entire process of on-the job training service for employees at Level 4 and below.Assessment Centers Management• Ensures that the Management Training Department is provided assistance to finalize vendor contracts for conducting assessment centers.• Oversees the process of coordinating with the vendors for designing the scope of work for assessment centers.• Develops objectives and requirements for assessment centers service and coordinates with the Management Training Department for its delivery.Career Program Management• Manages all services related to talent program, scholarship program, professional development program, professional career path program and mentorship program.• Develops and manages any additional career management programs which are in line with STC s HR strategy.People Management Responsibilities• Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process.• Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Career & Talent Management Department, in line with the business and operational plans.• Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Career & Talent Management Department.• Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the .. in order to meet objectives.Qualifications• Bachelor s degree in Human Resources/Business Administration/Engineering or equivalent.• Master s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources is preferredExperienceA minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3-4 years in a similar role.Nature of ExperiencePrior experience in managing broad-based HR functions with special focus on career planning.Desired Skills & Knowledge• Sound knowledge of STC s internal operational and business processes.• Mentoring and leadership skills.• Good understanding of competency models and career management frameworks.• Good understanding of assessment tools.• Planning and decision making skills.• Strong coordination and management skills.• Strong change management skills.• Strong training and coaching skills.Desired Candidate ProfileEducation:Any Graduation()Gender:nmNationality:Any Nationality
