Reporting into the Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager, the Finance Systems Specialist will be responsible for the management of the primary accounting system, the expense management tool and underlying processes, as well as other related finance systems. In this role you will:
- Be the main point of contact within Finance for system related queries and liaise with internal IT and external vendors as appropriate.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and enhancements to controls.
- Lead finance system upgrades and implementations by supporting the development of business cases and project plans.
- Manage system testing and UAT.
- Documenting processes and procedures.
- Provide training to end users as required.
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across interfacing systems to Finance to maintain accuracy of reporting.
- Contribute to, and lead where relevant, the integration of relevant non-financial systems to ensure data consistency and promote operational efficiencies.
- Design and develop reports to enhance stakeholder decision making.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses.
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders, both within Finance and the wider business, to deliver key projects.
- Have Accounting qualification / system experience demonstrating an understanding of ledger accounts and debits and credits at the transactional level.
- Have experience of working within a Finance department and frequent use of a finance platform; previous experience of Oracle and SAP Concur desirable.
- Are experienced in successfully integrating finance systems with other in-house systems, e.g. Salesforce.
- Can drive continuous improvements across processes and systems.
- Have strong analytical and numerical skills and comfort manipulating large datasets
