MechanicalDesigner TheMechanical Design Lead will manage a team of 4-8 MechanicalEngineers. The team is responsible for maintaining 3D models and 2Ddrawings in accordance with company and client standards. Createand prepare process drawings, 3D models, details, and drawing sheetpackages for fabrication and construction.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manage the day to day operations andtasking for the Mechanical Design Team.Utilize design and drafting software todevelop process drawings, 3D models, general arrangements, utilitydrawings, detail drawings, etc. under close supervision of engineerand design lead Create process flow and piping andinstrumentation diagrams Design 3D models from processdrawings and company specifications with minimalsupervision Create 2D drawing package layouts from 3Dmodels Read and interpret blueprints, technicaldrawings, and schematics Interface with fabrication andconstruction staff to examine fit up and otherissues QUALIFICATIONSBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineeringand 7+ years related experience required. Masters Degree Preferred. PastManagement or leadership experience is required. Must have experience in wastewater treatment facilitydesign OR Oil and Gasp experience with a heavy emphasis on pipingdesign. Strong background inpiping and mechanical design and drafting is amust Communicate in writing clearly andconcisely Adapt to change in theworkplace Use thinking and reasoning to solve aproblem Communicate effectively with others usingthe spoken word Ability to make critical decisions whilefollowing company procedures. Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D solid modeling /CAD package experience or training in college isrequired Proficiency in AutoCAD isrequired Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,Outlook) required Software Experience 3D modeling experienceis a must. Autodesk Inventor highly preferred. Solid worksexperience may be considered AutoCAD 2014-2017 experience amust Must have minimum of 5+ years'experience with AutoCAD AutoCAD P&ID is aplus
