Senior HR Business Partner (Definite term)(Job ID: 6295)This position reports directly to the Head, HRBusiness Partnering (N+1)Accountabilities:The job exists to ensurethat all Human Resources aspects of the assigned Division (Onshoreand Offshore Operations) are planned, implemented and accomplishedin a timely and effective manner. This includes ensuring that theschedules for key HR processes such as Annual Appraisals, MeritBudget preparation and Annual Bonus programs are notified toDivisional management and that necessary training is implemented toenable on-time completion. The job holder will be the visible faceof Human Resources to Divisional management and staff and willrelay business requirements to the core HR team for action. Theincumbent will assist Divisional management to maintain high levelsof technical and managerial competence and will pay particularattention to the developmental needs of National staff, ensuringtheir exposure to all key activities likely to enhance theircompetence and management skills. The Senior Business partner willalso be expected to advise Divisional leadership and staff on theobservation and implementation of the NOC company culture,exemplifying and encouraging corporate values and behaviors. Theincumbent of this particular Senior HRBP box will act as Deputy forthe Head HRBP and key supporter in transforming ways of working ofHRBP team as well as driving the development of other HRBPs throughcoaching & mentoring.Activities :• Develop andmaintain solid professional working relationships with Divisionalmanagement,supervisors and staff; establish the Senior HR BusinessPartner role as an integral element of the functioning of theentity.• Interact closely with HR management team andcolleagues, to ensure that actions taken or advice given is fullyaligned with departmental objectives and strategy.• Ensurethat the Divisions are adequately staffed to implement theirobjectives; liaise with management to anticipate and recruit thestaff and contracted resources required to do so, maintainingawareness of the NOC Recruitment Plan and recommending updates aspriorities evolve.• Advise divisional management oncross-cultural interaction with a diverse workforce in order tomaximize cooperation and efficiency, with particular focus onskills and knowledge transfer and succession planning.•Participate in job evaluation campaigns to ensure that positionsare fully described, presented and evaluated and that resultingevaluations are credible and can be explained to divisional staffas required.• Anticipate and prepare for HR campaigns suchas Annual Appraisals, merit and performance bonus budgets andidentification of training needs, in order to ensure that these areimplemented efficiently. Advise managers / supervisors andcoordinate and conduct formal training sessions asrequired.• Pro-actively sponsor and support organizationaland cultural change, ensuring that measures proposed are culturallyappropriate and likely to enhance corporate and personaleffectiveness.• Champion issues raised by employees whenthese are important enough to warrant management attention,ensuring that the matter is thoroughly considered and concluded byLine Supervision.• Ensure full personal awareness ofDivisional objectives and strategy, and promote these among staffwithout supplanting the role and authority of management andsupervision.• Conduct exit interviews with departing staffto ascertain the reasons for leaving and follow-up recommendationsto resolve the issues raised.• Coach and develop other HRBusiness Partners.• Represent the organization atconferences and hiring or employer branding events wherenecessaryProfile Required• Degree educated• CIPDqualified (or similar) or working on a Post Graduate qualificationin HR.• Proficient in MS Office products, particularlyWord, PowerPoint and Excel.• Strong personal focus onsafety awareness and on encouraging safe behaviors.• Anexcellent communicator (both personally, as a listener and inwriting), able to ensure that key issues are transferred promptlyto those who will be required to react.• 10+ yearsexperience in HR with at least 2+ years experience in Oil and Gasas an operationalBusiness Partner or similar role.•Experience in all key aspects of HR activities with specialemphasis on talent and performancemanagement, leadership coaching,change management, and organizational development.•Experience in the coaching and mentoring of junior staff would bean advantage.• Fluency in English essential. Fluency inArabic not essential but advantageous
