Senior Analyst - Investment & Data Analytics Robert Walters

This newly established team will be responsible for the agencies investment data function sitting across 4 key functions of Data Operations and Change, Data Governance and Solutions, Data Experience and Relationship Managment.

The Senior Analyst - Data Quality Solutions will be part of the Data Governance function. This exciting and transformative role will carry responsibility for maintaining and delivering data quality governance within the Agency.

Key Result Areas: Assist in the data collation, data maintenance and data transformation processes. Manage the preparation, review and publication of investment data/ reports required by regulators (APRA/ASIC) Adjusting processes to meet new regulation, business changes or investment approaches. Co-ordinating activities to ensure timely deliverable of obligations. Assist the business to respond to Regulatory data queries. Monitor controls and procedures to mitigate risk. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (External Reporting, IC, Finance) and external stakeholders on data requirements. Assist in the generation and analysis of performance returns and attributions across various asset classes and portfolios. Provide detailed analysis of the drivers of investment performance against benchmarks. Experience/Knowledge: Greater than 5 years of professional experience in a technical investment discipline, Experience in using Excel (VBA) to analyse and manage large sets of data. Solid understanding of investment concepts. Ability to accurately and efficiently manipulate large amounts of data. Strong organisational and time management skills. High degree of initiative and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to a high standard consistently. Experience in data extraction, e.g. SQL; visualisation technologies, e.g. Power BI, Tableau and Qlik and advanced analytics tools, e.g. R, Python Good (written and verbal) communication. Strong people / relationship management skills. Demonstrate authority and influence. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
