And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.Our 'Engineer III' is an entry-level position typically will work in assigned project and will report to Director/Manager of Product Delivery & Integration.Key Responsibilities:Entry level ability in software development project in the requirement gathering, solutioning, testing and overall technical delivery.Function as an active member of a software development project team by collaborating with business, central technology team, market BA's as well as regional engineers.Participate in code reviews and automated testing while needed.Debug and test basic software components and identify code defects for remediation.Support and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environmentsAutomate deployments in test or production environments.Adhere to security and regulatory best practices

.Develop necessary script, program to meet regional technology support needs.Preferred Qualificationsl

Up to 2 years of software development experience in a professional environmentl

Understanding of Agile or other rapid application development methodsl

Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriatel

Exposure to methods relating to application design, software development, and automated testing.l

General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databasesl

Understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languagesl

Learns and applies new technologies and techniques.l

Demonstrates good analytical skills.l

Clearly communicates ideas and concepts to others.l

Manages assigned tasks effectively; acts on own initiative without being prompted.l

Able to understand and use data structures and associated components.l

Defines test conditions based on the functional and non-functional requirements provided.l

Understands the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)l

Monitors system performance and availability and improves software quality through root cause analysis.l

Familiar with infrastructure technologies and componentsl

Japanese language proficiency will be an advantage.l

Flexibility to work in multiple time zone.l
