Senior Environment Consultant

The Company

A privately owned expert consultancy delivering a holistic and progressive approach to planning, environmental assessment and community engagement. This is a fully remote, boutique consultancy in which you can work from anywhere in NSW, but ideally Sydney or surrounds based for ease with on-site client visits.

The clientele is also varied. The team is currently assisting clients in a number of different sectors;

Transport (Road and Rail) Government (State and Local) Renewable Energy Recycling Resources/Extractive Industry Water

This position is paying between $110k -$140k + super, depending on experience. This is a remote position, with employees getting together in a satellite office every 4-5 weeks for collaboration if required.

The Role

As the Senior Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in the team responsible for planning, preparing and managing environmental assessments (REFs), environmental impact studies (EIS), and environmental management plans.

Other Day To Day Duties Will Include

Collaborating with project teams and monitoring project progress Providing expert technical advice and guidance on REFs and EIS' Engaging with clients, stakeholders and regulatory authorities to understand project authorities and address environmental concerns Building and maintaining strong client relationships Mentor and guide junior consultants Other duties as necessary

Essential Requirements

Tertiary education in environmental sciences, environmental planning or related field Minimum 5 year's experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on environmental assessments, impact studies and management plans Proven track record of managing and delivering projects across numerous sectors Experience with NSW legislation Strong experience with full pre-approvals process
