Understanding Market Opportunities& Driving RevenueTargetsgroup/catering accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasison proactive solicitation and accountsaturation.Partners with group/cateringcounterpart to effectively manage the businessopportunity.Responds to incominggroup/catering opportunities for the property that are outsideparameters of the .Handles all opportunitiesif property does not participate in anEBC.Identifies, qualifies and solicits newgroup/catering business to achieve personal and each property srevenue goals.Focuses efforts ongroup/catering accounts with significant potential salesrevenue.Develops effective group/cateringsales plans and actions.Designs, develops andsells creative catered events.Maximizesrevenue by upselling packages and creative food andbeverage.Understands the overall market -competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply anddemand etc. and knows how to sell againstthem.Closes the best opportunities for eachproperty based on market conditions and individual propertyneeds.Uses negotiating skills and creativeselling abilities to close on business and negotiatecontracts.Providing Exceptional CustomerServiceHandles complex business withsignificant revenue potential as well as significant customerexpectations.Builds and strengthensrelationships with existing and new customers to enable futurebookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips,trade shows, etc.Develops relationships withincommunity to strengthen and expand customer base for group/cateringsales opportunities.Supports brand s Serviceand Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by deliveringservice excellence throughout each customerexperience.Provides excellent customer servicein order to grow share of the account.Executesbrand s Customer Service Standards and property s BrandStandards.Executes and supports the businessCustomer Service Standards and property s BrandStandards.Participates in and practices dailyservice basics of the brand.Executes exemplarycustomer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty byassisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before andduring their program/event.Serves the customerby understanding their needs and recommending the appropriatefeatures and services that best meet their needs and exceed theirexpectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to theproperty and brand.
