Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:Ensure compliance with Procurement policies, procedures and guidelines.Receive procurement requisitions for goods.Issue request for quotations and ensure completeness, receipt of the same by suppliers, obtains confirmation for supplier's participation and monitor receipt of offers on the closing date.Communicate with suppliers and follow up on prompt submittal of quotations.Communicate with End user for technical acceptance and discuss commercial terms with Procurement Manager.Issue purchase orders for the requested materials and/or services on optimum terms according to company established procedures.Analyze ordered material for applicability for duty exemptions to maximize the economical values of the respective agreements.Analyze and identify areas for improvements and/or saving opportunities.Participate in the development and reviews of buying terms and conditions.Recommend suppliers or products that may have competitive advantage to customers/users. Other Responsibilities:Understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.Follow safety instructions related to their jobs.Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.Report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.Attend safety trainings planned for them. Must be conversant with Computer Application and relevant material management modules such as SAP shall be additional benefit.Conversant with the Computer Application e.g. Microsoft OfficeMust have clear concept of material supplyAbove average in English( oral/written)Must be familiar with market for Industrial Goods Qualifications:Have Bachelor Degree from any recognized university.Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the purchasing fieldAny other certification is plus.This job has been sourced from an external job board.
