In this role, you'll play a vital role in facilitating the seamless import of goods, ensuring they arrive at our door on time and within budget. Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure, maintain and enhance current company supply chain processes and systemsMonitor shipments and coordinate with customs, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely arrival of goodsEnsure ethical compliance with local and international trade regulationsMonitor and report changes in regulations that may affect shipment of goodsPrepare, review, and submit documents related to import and export activitiesWork with vendors, customers, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of goodsNegotiate with vendors and carriers for competitive pricing and servicesRespond to customer inquiries related to import and export activitiesMaintain good relationships with suppliers and renegotiate prices on a regular basisMaintain contracts with vendorsWeekly and monthly reporting and statisticsDesired Experience & QualificationDiploma/ Degree in Logistics Management will be a plusMust have a valid South African passport3-5 years working experience preferably in imports and/or exportsGood understanding of warehousing, import/export procedures and distribution processes and documentsEnergetic and proactive individual with strong interpersonal, analytical, organisational and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft packages, with emphasis on excel(Intermediate/ to Advanced level)Data set analysis, interpretation and good report writing skillsPleasant personality, driven individual with a "make-it-happen" work ethicBe able to interact and communicate effectively on all levelsOwn vehicle will be a plusSouth African Citizenship*, Clear Criminal Record*, Valid Driver's License*Package & RemunerationMarket relatedIMPORTANTNO RECRUITERS WELCOME, ONLY PNET APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  Electricity, Energy & Water Supply These jobs were popular with other job seekers Express Employment Professionals SA - Midrand
