Our client is continually advancing its audit and assurance methodologies to deliver value and profound insights.The Audit and Assurance teams constitute an integral component of the financial reporting ecosystem. They harness state-of-the-art technology in conjunction with their expansive global network of professionals, drawing upon a rich tapestry of skills and diverse experiences to create a meaningful and transformative impact for their valued clients. The Role — Their Audit practice is dedicated to providing clients with the utmost quality in audit assurance and advisory services. They extend their expertise across a diverse spectrum of industries and markets, encompassing multinational corporations in the financial services sector as well as smaller, owner-managed businesses. The Audit Senior assumes responsibility for the meticulous planning, systematic organization, and comprehensive oversight of all facets of the audit engagement, with the ultimate aim of presenting the completed work for evaluation by the Engagement Manager and/or Partner.- Support in the formulation of the audit plan, encompassing aspects such as staffing allocation and deadline establishment.
- Participate in client audit planning meetings.
- Create financial statements and produce high-quality work papers.
- Strategically plan, oversee, and assess the audit team's activities.
- Efficiently deploy and delegate tasks to staff members.
- Take on the responsibility of coaching and providing feedback to trainees.
- Adhere to time budgets and meet established deadlines.
- Certified accountant possessing the CAI accounting qualification or its equivalent recognized at an international level, along with a notable academic background.
- A prerequisite for this position is the possession of robust oral and written communication skills, with a specific emphasis on the ability to craft comprehensive business reports.
- Demonstrating a steadfast dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and delivering exceptional client service is imperative for this role.
- A profound and comprehensive understanding of auditing practices pertaining to companies within the consumer business and technology sectors, including expertise in property and manufacturing, is a crucial requirement.
- Having a working proficiency in Irish Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) would be considered an advantageous asset for this role.
- A tertiary-level degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field is a prerequisite for this position.
