Salary based on a full-time contract including additional sleep-in allowance based on x10 sleep-ins per month (approx. £6,183 per annum). Basic salary is £22,256 pa or £23,296 pa (£10.70 - £11.20 per hour) dependent on qualification.Within our therapeutic home in Caerphilly we look after children and young people aged 8 to 18 years who for various reasons cannot live with their family. Residential Support Team Members care for the children and young people in a nurturing and safe environment, providing emotional support for them to flourish. Our homes vary in size but are all houses within the community that are family style, furnished, decorated and maintained to a good standard.A typical day for a support team member will include;Activities and days out when not a school day which can include anything from a quiet walk on the beach, cinema and bowling, a trip to London or further a field to theatre, a sports event or a concert (All expenses paid)Every day household domestic tasksA school run (we provide a vehicle for each child)Home cooked meals and family style meal timesSupporting the children to maintain family relationships through visits and phone callsEncouraging healthy and safe relationships with friendsNo day is the same and likely not without its challenges however in the home you will be supported by the Registered Manager and Senior team members, as well as our Integrated Therapy Team who provide guidance and advice through reflective practice.This is the career where you get the opportunity to transform an individual’s life, where you will be nurtured through training, teamwork and managerial support and become part of our #OnePhoenixFamily.The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:A full UK driving licenceHave resilience and patience in order to remain calm in challenging situationsBe qualified – and if not we will fully support you in gaining a Level 4 Diploma in Residential ChildcareLet us invest in you!At Phoenix we are proud of the level of investment we place in learning and development to ensure our team members have the excellent level of training they need in order to be effective in their role.
