*Salary range:* £39,355 - £42,053 per annum, working 36 hours per week. Both full-time and part-time applications would be considered.*This is equivalent to that of a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in a health care setting.*We have both full-time (36 hours per week) and a part time (18 hours per week) positions available.*Location: *Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Addlestone, Ashford, Epsom, Esher, Dorking, Reigate and Oxted and Camberley.*We Can Offer You:** Work/life balance: Flexible working is supported where possible, including working from home or hot desking at several County Council sites* Induction, mentoring and support from experienced colleagues* Training to support in your continuing professional development such as our Preceptorship* Innovative technology: Front line staff will get touch screen hybrid devices to allow you to work in an agile way and minimise unnecessary travel* 26 days annual leave (28 after 2 years' service) plus 8 bank holidays* Relocation assistance of up to £8,000, subject to meeting eligibility criteria* Refer a friend scheme: Earn up to £1,000* A generous local government salary-related pension* 24/7 employee assistance programme (EAP)* Option to join our car lease scheme and many more discounted lifestyle benefits.*About You*In your application we would like to hear about your:* Experience of working within a social care or community focused multi-disciplinary setting* Ability to complete person centred and proportionate OT assessments* Familiarity with moving and handling equipment such as hoists and stand aids* Knowledge of medical conditions and the likely impact on the individual, carer and family* Ability to work autonomously, confidently and advocate for our client group* Flexibility to travel around the county* Occupational Therapy degree / qualification and HCPC registration* Hold a valid Driving Licence and have use of a car*About the Role*Our OTs work with a variety of adults who have differing needs related to a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, mental health or age related frailty. We work with individuals within the community. OTs within ASC aim to promote wellbeing and independence by completing complex occupational therapy assessments, proportionate support plans and by using specialist equipment, adaptations, skills gain and risk management programmes.This diverse role will facilitate your development and equip you with a range of skills to enable you to undertake frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting. You will have the opportunity to put into practice the legislation underpinning, and build your professional experience of, major adaptations, and moving and handling risk assessments and intervention, with the aim of supporting and empowering our clients to live meaningful lives within the community.We also fully understand the challenges of day to day frontline social care work, therefore we are putting tools in place to improve your work/life balance and to try and make day to day tasks more manageable. We are currently rolling out hybrid devices which have a touch screen and detachable keyboard, and will enable staff to access systems such as LAS when working with clients.
