We're looking for Registered Nurses to join our well respected and admired Cancer Care team on a permanent basis. As a Nurse Case Manager, you'll be a clinical expert, using your clinical and case management skills to provide a high-quality care service to our members and their families within a highly supportive team environment. This will involve working closely with clinicians and hospitals to get the best care for our members. You'll have plenty of development opportunities including regular training and increased responsibility. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home in our Glasgow office. Working hours Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. No evenings, weekends or Bank Holidays. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition. What you'll be doing: Effectively manage claims and act as a clinical expert providing our members with specialist knowledge and assistance. Ensure our members are aware of the treatment options within their cover and keep them informed of the progress of their claims. Provide telephone support during a difficult time to our members and their family. Take an active interest in our team, department and the wider business targets and how you can personally contribute to achieve these. Understand and role model the principles of claims cost management and identify potential areas of leakage. Develop in-depth knowledge, expertise and proficiency. Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in nursing. A current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC). Ideally you’ll have cancer nursing experience, but this isn’t essential. High levels of judgement, decision making and ownership. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Effective relationship management skills. Ability to manage difficult conversations. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
