With an established footprint and active projects locally, we’re looking for a hands-on Project Director and Leader to head our Dunedin office. This is a senior position forming part of our Southern leadership team. You’ll have a local project and people focus, as well as the scope to really add value nationally through our forward-thinking leadership initiatives. Offering plenty of challenge and opportunity for growth, this is a role where you’ll interface with key clients and stakeholders, be hands-on in the delivery of major projects, as well as getting involved in business development initiatives and taking branch management responsibility. While you’re building the teams around you, we’ll get some of the smaller things right, so your teams are well charged and feeling confident – like fun social events, and company health and well-being initiatives such as our Spring Challenge and great internal training such as our bespoke graduate training programme. The Role Our vision is to be the best and most trusted project specialists in Aotearoa.We expect our Project Directors to be key leaders within the office and influence great outcomes in all ways. But with challenge comes reward, as you’ll be backed to speak up, lead and drive best practice. We relish being market leaders and we want your enthusiasm and expertise at the table. You’ll be able to demonstrate:- Project/Construction management experience of 10+ years, ideally in a Consultancy
- The ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions
- Experience in vertical build project delivery across a diverse portfolio, ideally including base build, commercial development and commercial fitout projects
- Strong leadership coordinating design and technical teams
- Detailed knowledge and the preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting. Experience with NZS3910 contracts
- Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation and a strong focus on health and safety
- Highly organised with good time management / people management skills.
- Strong business acumen
- An aptitude for networking and winning new work
