Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Plant Administrator. The Plant Administrator role is based at Delta Cement and reports directly to the Plant Accountant. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to assist plant site accounting and payroll administration for all hourly employees and to provide administrative support. What you’ll get to do:

  • Administrative support for plant management; filling, mail/co and other administration duties as required.
  • Responsible for administration of plant CT-PAT program
  • Planning of plant special events and site visits
  • Daily production data entry
  • Scanning, respond to queries and follow-up on invoices
  • Ad hoc month end and year end reporting
  • Responsible for receiving, tracking, and reconciling raw material tickets
  • Assist with hourly payroll administration, including daily verification of supervisor approval of hours reported
  • Support management team as required
  • Provide office administrative support as needed
Who we are looking for:
  • Must have payroll experience in a unionized environment
  • Four or more years of administrative experience with basic accounting and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Kronos and SAP experience an asset 
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and advanced communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to positively collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
  • Onsite position (no remote work available), Monday to Friday.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, which will include occasional Saturday and/or Sunday. What we have to offer

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
