RoundMenu is a fast growing, venture backed, start-up based in Dubai and now expanding across MENA.
Our fast growth continues as we serve hundreds of thousands of visitors on a monthly basis through our web & mobile platforms. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious and dynamic team.
We're looking for a Senior Arabic Editor to join our team. This position oversees all Arabic content initiatives across multiple online platforms and formats. Ultimately, the job of the Editor is to think like a publisher and lead our core content to be the best in the region in our field.
Responsibilities
- Managing content processes which would entail sourcing, curating and updating of restaurant information efficiently
- Understanding RoundMenu and the Users in detail to ensure Arabic content is categorized and optimized in the best way
- Lead hiring and managing a team of freelance and full-time writers
- Content team lead in aligning with other functions (sales, tech) as necessary
- Employing SEO and other relevant traffic-driving tactics to benefit our site
- Manage all forms of content (text, image, video…) for the Arabic audience
Skills
- Experience in building and leading editorial team
- Passionate about creating online content
- Understands to read, write and manage multiple Arabic dialects: Classic, Khaleeji, Egyptian, Lebanese, and other
- Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines
- Strong work ethics, willingness to get hands dirty and 'get stuff done' attitude
- Sound business judgment and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Experience and Education REQUIRED
- Minimum 4 years in publishing, journalism or public relations
- At least 2 years online content editing
- Experience optimizing copy for SEO purposes
