The client a major FPSO Owner Operator has a requirement for a Verification Lead Engineer to work on turnkey activities for a North Sea FPSO project. Contract length:  2 years Potential start date:  19th Jan 2015 Position:  Engineering - Verification Lead Key Tasks and Responsibilities o Delivery of the Safety Critical Element (SCE) Assurance Program for the FPSO project according to the UK Relevant Statutory Provisions (RSPs) - internal Client of this program is the Safety Case Manager o Project focal point for the Independent Competent Person (ICP), otherwise known as the Independent Verification Body (IVB) o Implementation of the Design Verification Plan for the project aligned with the SCE Assurance Program o Planning and coordination of SCE assurance activities - close liaison with project resources including: Engineering Managers, Package Responsible Engineers, Quality Manager, Quality Engineers o Preparation and issuance of reports to demonstrate adequate close-out of SCE assurance activities o Planning and coordination of design verification activities o Preparation and issuance of reports to demonstrate adequate close-out of design verification activities o Develop and maintain a dashboard for all SCE assurance activities (including design verification) to show status of activities o Manage responses and close-out of issues/comments raised by ICP o Manage ICP contract to ensure budget control and timely delivery of the service - note that the quality of the service is included in the SCE Assurance Program o Provide input to the Operations Safety Case related to SCE and assurance o Provide project stakeholder (client, HSEx) assurance with regards to the SCE Assurance Program o Provide awareness training with regards to the SCE Assurance Program to project personnel, sub-contractors and suppliers o Input to project reporting (weekly and monthly) o Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance (RC) Lead to ensure alignment between SCE and RC activities o Management of resources and budget associated with the above tasks Authorities The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above.
