My client, a joint venture between major local and international contractors, has an exciting opportunity for experienced Safety Managers to join their team here in Doha to be a part of the Doha Metro project.
The Doha Metro is currently one of the biggest civil engineering projects globally. Valued at over 10 billion USD, the Doha Metro will consist of over 130km of track across four lines and over 85 stations. With initial construction underway, the project is expected to continue up until the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
As Safety Manager you will be responsible for providing guidance & direction for the planning implementation & operation of the organisation's safety management system (SMS)
A successful candidate must fulfil the following criteria:
Minimum 10 years of experience on Safety role
5+ years experience on a managerial position
Must have NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 4 Health & Safety
Must have experience of working Tunnelling with TBM
Experience working on European projects
* Project experience must include: tunnelling, rail construction, metro construction, excavation, and mining, roads & highways.
