Our client is a group of companies in Muscat who require an Accounting Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
Monthly Closing and Reporting:
- Closing the accounts (GL, APs, ARs, FAs) of the 5 companies units within 5 working days
- Preparation of all financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports;
- Submitting the Finance Commentary report to Finance Manager before sending to Head Office;
- Maintenance of all accounting ledgers including monthly review of all account reconciliations and journal entries and providing monthly Auditable reports;
- Review revenue and expense account analysis and bank reconciliation and oversee fixed asset management;
- Submitting the Finance Commentary report to Finance Manager before sending to Head Office;
- Preparing business review report for the board of directors;
- Monthly suspense accounts clearing.
Compliance:
- Dealing with banks to make sure all payments go smoothly withoutany trouble.
- Prepare Yearly Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts;
- Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results for both forecasts and budgets; provide corrective action recommendations to management, where necessary.
Business Units:
- Dealing with more than 25 business units (scattered around the world) and ensuring good relationships with them.
Audit:
- Work with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all qualified requests.
