Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL - Electrical Engineer - Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
The role is for a Electrical Engineer and will oversee electrical supervision including Low Voltage and Electrical works.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
It is envisaged that the right individual will have a broad understanding of all high level electrical systems experience
Lead engineering role for Low Voltage and MEP electrical design works Liaison with Utility Authorities on a technical basis Management of design packages' to ensure timely delivery Attend technical discussions/meetings. Mentoring junior employees / supporting the drafting team. Liaison with internal clients to develop relationships across the business Travel within the Middle East and Africa region may be required. Liaison with the client, contractor and design consultant representatives. Review Contractor's installation method statements re Mechanical works. Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports Attend inspections to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the contract documentation and method statements Liaison with the contractor on all construction related matters Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works
Basic Qualifications
Job requirements of this position include:
Engineering Degree (preferably Electrical) with over 7years relevant experience in electrical systems works specializing in infrastructure Significant relevant experience on site, ideally on large scale projects in the Middle East Needs a clear understanding of the Client focused approach Must take active steps for training and self-development, Should be capable of building trust in works relations.
Degree Required
Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
