Athaiba Private School is looking for a bilingual Deputy Principal

The candidate must be fluent in both Arabic and English and support the school to improve its Arabic and English provision.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of teaching in a school setting for a minimum of 5 years.

Salary package will include accommodation, visa costs and annual ticket allowances.

• To analyse attainment via interim report data and respond with appropriate intervention
• To monitor curriculum coverage across the school
• To regularly observe teachers formally and informally
• To monitor continuous assessment in all subjects
• To ensure final examination procedures are in line with Ministry of Education guidelines
• To contact parents as and when required regarding the progress of individual students
• To participate actively in the quality assurance of students' learning
• To monitor and take appropriate action regarding the attendance, punctuality and behaviour of students
• To liaise regularly with the Special Needs department regarding any student's special needs

• Providing guidance regarding student achievement and behaviour
• Chairing regular meetings
• Overseeing and evaluating pastoral activities
• Writing and overseeing a school specific Akhlaq programme
• Developing the tutorial programme and observing registration and tutor periods
• Providing regular feedback to individual teachers

• To lead and organise assemblies and other events in line with the ethos and expectations of the school
• To work within the SLT with regards to achievement and behaviour of students

• Facilitating (with Principal) school events
• Undertaking any other duties as required by the Principal
