This is a contract role through Manpower ME - 12 months renewable contract

Our Client is the global association representing the road transport industry whos mission is to ensure commercial road transport (both freight and passenger) is as efficient, safe and environmentally friendly as possible. They carry out our mission through three main areas of activity: transit services (including the TIR system); our work on professionalising the industry through training and certification; and advocacy.

The Middle East is a key component of the Client's growth strategy. Building on their experience in the customs and/or logistics sector in the region, the incumbent will play a critical role in driving revenues across all of our business lines, in particular in the Middle East and North Africa.

The selected candidate will be in charge of business development and managing relationships with our stakeholders, in order to reinforce our presence in this growing region.


1. Transit services – 75%

  • Develop, lead and implement a promotion & marketing strategy, in partnership with members and other stakeholders in the region in order to drive TIR take-up.
  • Under the guidance of the Middle East Adviser - Corridor Project Manager, lead relationships with our members in the region, and with key users of our services.
  • Support efforts to maximise the extent to which TIR cuts the cost & time of doing business, by engaging with users and other stakeholders to understand the key challenges related to moving goods in transit, and working with colleagues to contribute to the design and implementation of future improvements;
  • Under the guidance of the Middle East Adviser - Corridor Project Manager, engage with senior decision makers in the public sector in order to implement key improvements for the road transport community, and in order to effectively manage the change associated with the implementation of TIR and other services;
  • Maintain excellent relationships with road transport stakeholders in the region, in order to identify further opportunities for the Client to cut the cost and time associated with moving goods by road in the region by developing and implementing additional transit-related products & services;

2. Certification & Standards – 20%

  • Drive customer engagement efforts independently to promote Certification services and generate qualified leads
  • Manage outstanding relationships with key certification partners in the region
  • Regularly liaise with the C&S team to prioritise and coordinate business development efforts and give insights on local market trends and needs

3. Advocacy – 5%

  • Leverage relationships with the transport & logistics sector in order to generate qualified leads for membership of the Client, and for sponsorship of our events
