Experienced Tax Accountant required for Toowoomba office. Must be certified Tax Agent and have at least 3 years experience.
The role includes:
Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for client partnerships, trusts, superannuation funds and companies, and income tax returns for individuals to completion ;
Attendance to client compliance work including ASIC annual returns, maintenance of statutory registers, land tax, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax matters and BAS/IAS returns.
Dealing directly with clients, under instructions from the Partner in the handling of queries relating to the tax and accounting ;
Recording of time accumulated for each job via the timesheet system and preparation and issuing of invoices for work completed.
Attendance at and contribute to tax group ;
Assistance to other staff with their work when personal workload permits in a team spirit to ensure that all deadlines are met wherever possible.
Keeping up to date technically with changes in tax law, guidelines and account practice, and contributing to the overall knowledge base of the tax and accounting ;

- Proficient in Handisoft, Excel, Simple Fund & MYOB.
Experience
Completed a commerce or business degree specializing in Accounting - working towards completion of either CA or CPA.
