QUALIFICATIONS

• Male or Female, preferably 21-25 years old

• Graduate of BS Medical Technology

• Licensed Medical Technologist

• With good academic standing

• With pleasing personality and good moral character

• With good communication and interpersonal skills

• Willing to undergo 3 months training

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cuts, stains, mounts and prepares tissues for histopathologic, cytologic, immunopathologic examination by pathologists

• Prepares specimen for immediate analysis by Rush Frozen Section (RFS)

• Prepares and maintains paraffin, reagents and other solutions, and stains according to standards

• Disposes specimens and chemical properly

• Calibrates and maintains good working condition of equipment and apparatus

• Maintains the proper storage and retrieval of pathology slides and paraffin blocks

• Supervises training of Medical Technology interns

• Performs other duties as may be required from time to time
