Key Responsibilities:
Manages & coordinate with Vendors/ Suppliers specifically on Asia, Europe, Russia & African countries.
Manage all accounts payable invoices for payment, performing review & comparison of details of reservation for accuracy and confirmation.
Obtain proper approvals before releasing of payments and filing relevant supporting documentation.
Liaise with the Contracting department on follow-up of open reservation of service orders.
Respond to questions regarding billing problems; acts as a liaison between departments and vendors.
Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit;
Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments
Reconcile masterlist reports verifying entries and comparing accounting system reports to booking engine balances.
Skills/Experience:
Proven accounting experience in Travel industry is a must (2-5 years)
Experience in VAT
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
Awareness of business trends
Experience with creating financial statements/bank reconciliation
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Knowledge and experience in of accounting software
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
