Controller / Accounting Manager

As a premium partner of Canada's Tier One providers such as Bell, Rogers, Telus, and Allstream, we leverage world class networks and combine them with our best-in-class billing technology and customer service solutions to deliver an exceptional telecom experience.**You Will Need To**- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 accounting department staff responsible for journal entries, accounts payable, month-end close, financial reporting, and other accounting functions.- Review transactions to ensure quality of data and review journal entries to ensure GAAP compliance.- Develop tools and processes to ensure that vendor invoices are accurately and timely reconciled before processing.- Define and execute necessary inter-company transactions on a timely basis to ensure month-end timelines are met across all related companies.- Manage and oversee month-end process to ensure timely close and preparation of monthly financial reporting package including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analyses.- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.- Oversee financial activities, including cost analysis, budget management, and expense control.- Ensure all tax reporting requirements are met on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.- Liaise with external tax accountant to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.- Establish strong working relationships with all departments and collaborate with each department head to ensure they receive necessary support from the accounting team.- Hold team members accountable to agreed deliverables and timelines to ensure accounting related projects are progressing at a desired cadence and escalate to executive team as needed.- Highlight and recommend improvements to existing processes and observed inefficiencies- CPA designation active and in good standing.- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.- A minimum of 5+ years experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager in the telecommunications industry or within a technology based industry.- A minimum of 10+ years experience in accounting or finance functions.- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.- Track record of successful month-end execution and accounting project delivery.- Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills combined with high level of professionalism. Able to establish positive working relationships with others.- Expertise with productivity suites such as MS Visio, MS Office, and MS Project or equivalent.- A self starter, able to work with mínimal supervision while keeping engaged in a team environment.- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.- Ability to embody a culture of taking disciplined action and going to great lengths to fulfill responsibilities.**Salary**: E£35,000.00 - E£55,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):- Are you willing to work from home?
