Managing Partners of the largest PE and Growth Equity funds, and Tech unicorn entrepreneurs).We seek to develop a dream team of outstanding investment analysts with strong academic and professional achievements and a passion for investing and technology.**Your Opportunity**Join our **Cairo team to have direct impact of building proprietary technology** which will be powering up our investment execution and support in deploying meaningful insights of public and private software and tech companies, market insights & trends**Your Responsibilities**- Design, develop, test and maintain crawlers / scrapers for various websites or REST APIs when available- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications- Design and test strategies to optimize calls to a website and to ensure the quality of the extracted data- Implement data storage solutions and integrate external systems as required.- Push scraped data into relational databases- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering.- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing.- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.**Your Qualifications**- You have a Back-End developer background, with 2+ years of experience, with a strong portfolio of previous projects- You have experience with a **web scraping framework like Scrapy**, and can understand which framework is more suitable in each situation- You like to **code following best practices (e.g., clean & simple code, continuous testing, version control)**:- Proficiency in working with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL databases.- Ideally, you are **familiar with cloud-based environments and can automate the deployment of scrapers on a cloud architecture **(e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.- You have some knowledge of building and maintaining front-end languages.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- You like **working in a small team setting**:- You are not **afraid of challenges, are proactive and self-motivated**Cherry on the cake!- You would like to **work in an international start-up environment**:- You are **passionate about technology and investing****Recruitment process** **Introduction interview**- Pre-case Interview with Senior Manager- Case study- Final Interview with CEO- This position is based in Cairo_**Salary**: E£25,000.00 - E£35,000.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:- Cairo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
