Tetra Pak New Zealand is seeking a proactive Materials Handling Engineer to join our Hamilton team. If you're a self-starter with exceptional communication skills and expertise in the field, we’d love to hear from you! Join our dynamic Powder Processing team and be at the heart of innovative projects! As a key player, you'll focus on drafting and design, working closely with clients to develop and refine concept designs while managing budget estimates for our Powder Processing projects. Your role will involve creating detailed mechanical engineering designs for milk powder projects, including P&IDs, fabrication, layout, and pipework drawings. You'll also be responsible for preparing as-built drawings and technical documentation. This position offers hands-on involvement in project installation and commissioning, with opportunities to travel and see your designs come to life. If you’re a detail-oriented professional with a passion for drafting and engineering, we’d love to have you on our team!

We believe you have

We’re looking for an experienced professional with:
  1. Expertise in Powder Food Process Design
  2. (Dairy, juice, or soft drink industries preferred)
  3. Process Equipment & Machinery Design Knowledge
  4. Functional Specifications Writing Experience
  5. Flow Element Sizing Skills
  6. (Pumps, valves, pneumatic transport lines)
  7. Technical & Installation Expertise
  8. Project Management & Autonomous Work Ethic
  9. Hands-on Project Implementation Experience
  10. Software Proficiency
  11. Strong Understanding of Process Technology & Standards
  12. 3-5 Years of Engineering Experience
  13. Mechanical or Process Engineering Degree or Diploma NZCE
