We are looking for an Income Auditor to provide customer service support, balance the books, and perform essential accounting tasks during our late-night shifts. A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Prepares daily income report.
- Investigates discrepancies and corrects them as indicated in Night Auditor and Restaurant Auditor's Logbook.
- Compares the Housekeeper's Report against Night Receptionist room report, lists discrepancies noted, and investigates them.
- Performs duties indicated in the Income Auditor checklist.
- Supervises the activities of the Assistant Income Auditor and Night Auditor.
- Ensures completion of the monthly Income Auditor checklist.
- Reports all discrepancies in the Logbook for the attention of the Internal Auditor and Controller.
- Supervises and controls Restaurant Checks issues Logbook.
- Complies with Hotel's Health, Safety & Hygiene policy.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Manages day-to-day activities, plans and assigns work, and establishes performance and development goals for team members. Provides mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
- Educates, trains, and motivates finance and accounting teams to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensures staff has the information, market data, tools, and equipment to successfully carry out job duties. Provides direction to hotel employees on how decision making impacts profits.
- Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.
- Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and processing cash payments.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software.
- Strong verbal communication and good listening skills for effective interactions with guests and housekeeping staff.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, offers, and the local area.
