Industrial Engineering Manager

Position Focus: Lead the Industrial Engineering function for a region or vertical including Industrial Engineering, Plant Maintenance and Civil Maintenance Job Description:

1. Responsible for industrial engineering activity inclusive of JIT seat assembly, metals, trim, foam, drive efficiency through standardization in DL/IDL
2. Capex planning and spend as per forecast, on time facility readiness for new program launches
3. Establish Process standards that ensures Lear exceeds customer’s expectations for quality, delivery, responsiveness fostering teamwork, implementing standardized manufacturing processes, creating a culture of Continuous Improvement
4. Sharing best practices and providing a safe and environmentally friendly work environment
5. Implement Vision inspection system to automate trim appearance. acceptance standards and presence of parts as a part of LPOF
6. Identify and Implement traceability systems, Poka yoke systems, quality countermeasures
7. Efficiency – Achieve Best In Class performance:
8. Identify HC optimization opportunity through MOST, bench mark BIC plants for Work content, DL/IDL ratio, Jobs/DL, MOPand implement
9. Establish Standards for JIT, Foam, Trim and structures process consumables & spares
10. Optimization of capex through standardization -10% improvement Budget.
11. On time facility provision for flawless launch of new programs
12. On time operation inputs for new business
13. Introduce Auto guided Vehicle to feed Frame, Trim, Foam from stores to JIT line to optimize IDL HC.
14. Introduce Automated EOL to optimize HC and improve quality
15. Competency Mapping – Prepare score card, assessment method and complete for all IE staffs. Prepare training plan and provide coaching and mentoring as required to improve competency scores
16. Succession planning for Key talents
17. HC savings as per OIP
18. Capex spent as per Forecast
19. DL / IDL Workshop
20. Layout and Space optimization workshop
21. Drive automation projects/Industry 4.0 initiatives
22. Space optimization, communize lines to optimize operational cost and free flow layout design.
23. FTG design knowledge with optimize cost, user friendly design.
24. Store layout design based on PFEP concept and requirement.
25. Customer delivery trolley design and optimized manufacturing cost.
26. Strong Team player with interacting with the CFT to get better results on time.
