We are looking to hire dynamic personnel to join our team at EWEC, as a Commercial Sr Finance Business Partner If you have experience matching the criteria below, we would like to hear from you. Job Specific Responsibilities:
- The Commercial Finance Senior Specialist is responsible for planning and executing power and water related tariff activities while mitigating capacity and fuel price risk across the system.
- This includes the planning, development, interpretation and further enhancement of Commercial bespoke tariffs including the Bulk Supply Tariff (BST) model which is the most critical tool used for setting up the tariffs for customers that impacts the sector’s subsidy requirements.
- The Commercial Finance Senior Specialist is responsible for calculating other detailed tariff requirements in line with commercial agreements including main BST project such as Project Green (ADNOC) that has more detailed and complicated contractual requirements.
- This role includes review and reconciliation, and distribution of power and water invoices. This includes forecasting of revenues and costs for budgeting and planning purposes in conjunction with Commercial, Forecasting and Planning, and other Finance counterparts.
- Actively provide Price Control consultation to the relevant stakeholder in collaboration with Legal and Regulatory and DoE
- Develop and implement the methodology and timetable to calculate the BST for regulated customers and bespoke tariff requirements with Commercial team in line with the approved license, at the approved or agreed cost level
- Facilitate both internal and external discussions to obtain approvals from Commercial Customers and/or DoE on the methodology and time-table to calculate the bulk supply tariff (BST) for the regulated customers (distribution companies) and bespoke tariff for NE and other commercial customers
- Assist Commercial, Legal and Regulatory Directorates in obtaining Customer and/or DoE approval for the tariffs and its regular adjustments through a strong ability to clearly explain the intricacies and the different levels of costs (Fuel, PWPA, and internal costs)
- Calculate the revenue tariffs, and any sensitivity/ case analysis required, including for related industrial tariffs, bespoke, Northern Emirates tariffs and prices to provide challenge where appropriate and obtain DoE approval before informing the DISCOs of any changes
- Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ and changes in business environment and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts
- Adhere to EWEC values (including sustainability, integrity, collaboration and innovation)
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the section requirements, policies, and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field
- Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred
- Professional Finance certification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Diverse/multi-cultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
- Multi-national company
- Energy and utility sector
- Solid budgeting/forecasting/reporting background
- Experience in handling large datasets - Expert data modelling skills
