WSP Middle East are looking for a passionate and motivated Graduate Consultant - Fire & Life Safety (FLS) to join our Middle East team. As part of WSP, you will work on high-profile and impactful projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, hospitality, commercial, industrial, and residential, ensuring that safety standards and regulations are met. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in the Fire, Life, and Safety sector, where you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to help you develop into a well-rounded FLS consultant. Your new role, what's involved?
- Assist in the development and implementation of fire, life, and safety systems and solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
- Help in conducting fire safety assessments, including risk analysis, fire protection systems design, evacuation planning, and fire safety strategies.
- Prepare and review fire safety documentation, including fire safety reports, evacuation plans, and system design specifications.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure fire and safety requirements are integrated into project designs and effectively communicated across teams.
- Support the team in ensuring that all fire and life safety designs comply with local fire codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Assist senior consultants in understanding client requirements, offering recommendations, and ensuring client satisfaction with fire and life safety solutions.
- Provide technical support to senior consultants and project managers by assisting with calculations, assessments, and the implementation of FLS solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, fire safety technologies, and best practices to continue developing your expertise.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with WSP’s Health & Safety standards and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of fire safety standards such as NFPA, BS, and local Middle Eastern codes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software like AutoCAD, Revit, or fire simulation tools is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
