About the Role: As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will be a key player in a high-performing procurement team, managing tactical procurement activities for building construction and maintenance projects. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure in far north Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to essential public works. Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to strategic procurement planning for medium-high value and risk projects.
2. Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, contract management, and offer evaluation.
3. Exercise procurement authorization and certification across all activities.
4. Contribute to whole-of-government reporting requirements.
5. Project manage procurement system reviews and identify improvement strategies.
6. Deliver significant cost savings through effective procurement strategies.
7. Mentor and develop the procurement capabilities of team members.

Ideal Candidate Profile: While there are no mandatory requirements, Queensland Government Procurement Certification Level 3 is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in building, construction, and maintenance (BCM) procurement, particularly within the infrastructure sector, is essential.
