Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Technical Manager, and Principal Engineer to deliver high-quality design calculations and drawings within scheduled timelines. This role requires excellent technical expertise, teamwork, and the ability to coordinate across various disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee major aspects of electrical design for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Senior Engineer/Technical Manager/Principal Engineer to ensure organization, production, and quality of deliverables.
- Serve as Electrical Lead or Sub-lead based on project scope.
- Coordinate design efforts with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate project records.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and procedures.
- Prepare and actively participate in design reviews.
- Design low-voltage switchboards, LV sub-mains cabling, and distribution systems.
- Develop power distribution systems for mechanical and public health equipment.
- Create designs for earthing and bonding installations.
- Design lightning protection, lighting systems, lighting control, and emergency lighting systems.
- Perform electrical preliminary calculations, including load calculations and voltage drop analysis.
- Develop riser diagrams, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and wire sizing.
- Prepare electrical enlarged room plans, sections, and related technical drawings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, standards, and practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience in designing for U.S. projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as required.
