- Site Management:
- Oversee daily operations at the construction site, ensuring that the project is progressing according to plans.
- Monitor construction activities, coordinating the workforce and materials to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Safety Management:
- Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure compliance with OSHA standards or local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any potential hazards or risks.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that all team members adhere to them.
- Supervision of Workers:
- Supervise, guide, and motivate on-site workers, including laborers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks and monitor the quality of the work being performed.
- Resolve conflicts and issues between workers to maintain a productive work environment.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that work is being completed to the required standards, following blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Inspect the quality of construction work at different stages of the project.
- Work with engineers or project managers to rectify any construction-related issues.
- Material and Equipment Management:
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and request materials as needed to avoid project delays.
- Oversee the use of equipment to ensure that they are properly maintained and used safely.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents.
- Provide regular reports to the project manager or senior supervisor about the project’s progress.
- Complete daily logs, time sheets, and material usage reports.
- Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Liaise with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure proper communication.
- Address any concerns or questions from clients, contractors, or other personnel.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
- Make adjustments to schedules, resources, or methods to keep the project on track.
- Compliance:
- Ensure that the site complies with legal requirements, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with the preparation for inspections by regulatory agencies.
