Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Fashion Assistant Buyer to join our buying team in the fashion retail sector. In this role, you will assist the buying team in sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory for our fashion product lines. You will work closely with the Buyer, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet customer demands, are competitively priced, and are available at the right time across our retail locations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Buyer in sourcing and selecting fashion products, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating prices.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and coordinating reorders to avoid stockouts.
  • Help track product performance and analyze sales trends to inform buying decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records, update databases, and generate reports for the buying team.
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues related to product orders.
  • Stay informed on current fashion trends and competitor activities to support product selection.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a fashion retail or buying environment, with a focus on supporting buying teams.
  • Experience in assisting with product sourcing, inventory management, and supplier coordination is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other buying-related software for inventory management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to assist in negotiations and liaise with external suppliers and internal teams.
  • Strong ability to analyze sales data and trends to support purchasing decisions.
