Hotel: Changi Airport (SINCP), 75 Airport Boulevard 01-01, 819664 To ensure the financial security of the hotel, it is necessary to maintain control over expenses, income, assets and liability. As a Management Accountant, you’ll ensure a centralized accounting, and manage hotel assets. You’ll become an expert in your accounting duties. A little taste of your day-to-day Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: Managing Work, Projects, and Policies. Coordinates and completes monthly financial reports in accordance with IHG Standards. Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data. Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals. Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines. Coordinates and completes monthly financial reports in accordance with IHG Standards in terms of accurate GL posting in accordance with IHG Accounting Manual, USALI standards, and approved budget lines. Ensures profits and losses are posted and documented accurately as per approved budget. Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued. Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment. Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge. Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes. Keeps up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to your job. Uses computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, develop financial spreadsheets, set up functions, enter data, or process information. Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, and standards operating procedures. Assists in the preparation of the departmental annual budget and planning of strategic goals. Ensures financial control procedures and systems are ethical, legal, and aligned to the hotel’s guidelines. Leading Accounting Teams. Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. Motivates and provides a work environment where employees are productive. Understands how to manage in a culturally diverse work environment. Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities. Supports the development, mentoring, and training of employees. Provides constructive coaching and counseling to employees. Additional Responsibilities. Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm. Informs and/or updates the executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner. Manages time well and possesses strong organizational skills. Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized way. Uses problem-solving methodology for decision making and follow-up. Helps, responds, and resolves guests’ queries - follow up ensures guest satisfaction. Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done. What we need from you? Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of related work experience. Judgment – Consider the possible actions to take with regards to forecasting and budgeting.
